The Best Man Tips

When choosing a best man it is important that the person you choose is reliable and also trustworthy. So if there are any best men reading this then well done! It means that the groom (and hopefully the bride) thinks very highly of you!

When we think of the best man two things immediately spring to mind. The first being the all important “stag do” and then the dreaded best mans speech.

Although these are two essential elements to a best mans agenda there are a few other duties that the best man is expected to fulfill.

These include:

Taking responsibility for the hire clothes and accessories. Tux, top hats etc
Looking after the rings and producing them on the day during the ceremony
Taking care of all travel documents
Witness the signing of the register after the ceremony
Assist the guests and bride and groom after the ceremony
Paying the sacristan
Making the announcements before, during and after the meal
Reading of telegrams and cards
Payment of band
Return of hire clothes

And one last duty. Enjoying himself!
